Business moves
Move the office over a weekend, without the cardboard
Crates delivered to the old floor in advance, collected from the new one once your team is unpacked. No box orders, no assembly line of tape guns, no recycling problem on Monday morning.
Why offices use crates
The maths is different at fifty desks
Staged delivery
We can drop crates a week early so staff pack their own desks on their own time, then collect after everyone has settled in.
One crate per desk, roughly
Most desk moves come out at one to two crates per person plus a few extras for the kitchen, IT and the file room.
They load tight
Uniform crates mean the truck packs properly, which usually means fewer trips and less time on the clock for your movers.
Nothing to dispose of
No pallet of flattened cardboard blocking a corridor in a building that charges for waste removal.
Volume pricing
Above about 100 crates we quote by the job rather than off the residential price list. Longer terms get better rates.
Invoicing that works
We can invoice on terms with a PO reference rather than putting a company move on somebody's personal card.
What we need to quote you
- Roughly how many desks or people are moving
- Both addresses, and which floors
- Your target move date and how long you want the crates on site
- Whether either building needs a certificate of insurance or a dock reservation
- Anything unusual: a server room, a lab, a file room that has not been opened since 2014
Send that to info@queencitycrates.com and we will come back with a number and a delivery plan, usually the same day.
Also useful for
- Retail and restaurant fit-outs where stock has to move in stages
- Property managers turning over multiple units at once
- Moving companies who want crates on hand for clients without owning them — see the partner page
- Schools and churches clearing or reorganising storage
